“For Such a Time as This…”

By Abenezer Amanuel

“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”Esther 4:14

Ah this verse. Do you sense what I am sensing at this time? Do you also believe that God is raising up a generation that are going to be in certain positions for his glory? Well let me share with you what God has been revealing to me and teaching me in this season and specially in the month of March. At the beginning on this month I remember saying to myself “I am Marching into March with Godfidence (Godly Confidence)” and even making a facebook post.

Exhibit A (Posted on 3.1.2022)

I knew God was up to something when he brought that to my mind so of course as usual I just stood back and let God’s plans unfold to see what he was truly working on at this time. He highlighted to me the story of Esther and I was just meditating on it to be honest for this whole month. Every message I heard and every time I meditated on the word of God it led me to that specific book in the Bible. For those of you that do not know the story of Esther I will give you a very short summary. Now if I miss some details go easy on me but I just want to encourage you to go ahead and read the Book of Esther. It is literally only 10 chapters and you can read one chapter a day for ten days or even better read 2 chapters a day for 5 days so before the week is over you have finished a whole book in the bible. Go ahead and give yourself a round of applause *crowd cheers*. By the way I just want to take this moment to say that my blog posts will be focused strictly on the word of God and his Kingdom and his purpose for our life. It will also be including my own personal gift that God has given me in delivering message to the reader which sometimes might be revealed in throwing in few funny lines here and there and if that is not you, I totally understand. Just know that at the end of the day, God is fulfilling the SAME purpose through our DIFFERENT Gift. It is all for the Glory of God.

(Sis, The topic…)

Oh, Ok. So back to the main point of today’s blog post. Esther. So Esther’s story actually starts with Hadassah. Hadassah was a young orphan living with her cousin Mordecai who is someone that played a key role in raising her. He instructed her and gave her words of wisdom. (Read previous Blog post titled “Who is in your Ear?”). She is introduced in the bible as Hadassah but later on changes her name to Esther to accommodate to the mission that God had for her. Fast forward There is this Really rich and powerful King named Xerxes (Ahasuerus in KJV translation) and he was looking for a queen because the former queen, Vashti, went against the order the king gave. So, with the counsel of Memucan,

*Vashti Exits* (Esther 1:16-20)

*Esther Enters*

Now Sister Esther did not come to play. She was all about her people and kept that in mind all along. Even in her time of comfort, she never settled. She never thought “this is it.” No. She was on a mission. Esther knew that the royal position she held, the favor she found in the sight of the King was not so that she would be comfortable and enjoy all the riches and fine fragrances for herself. But rather it was so that she would rescue her people. That was God’s plan. It was for a greater purpose. I am going to need you all really to take the time to read the book of Esther because a lot of People say “Ah yes. That book that does not mention the name of God” but that is the thing, Beloved. You can see the handprint EVERYWHERE. Have you ever been in the rain and went inside a house or building and you just start walking on the floor and it leaves a mark? It leaves a print but you don’t feel the weight of the rain or any dirt but it is there. So clear and evident. God is seen working in Esther’s, Mordcai’s and even King Xerxe’s life. God is the one Who honored Esther and Mordecai. God is the one who softened the heart of King Xerxes and God is the one who brought the plans of Haman the agagite, The enemy of the Jews’ plan to crumble right before him.

Beloved, God is at work. In the coming days, we will be seeing brothers and sister rise to high seats taking up leadership position and the question is going to be “…who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” So don’t find it strange when God gives you open doors, Promotion, Marriages and Family in the Long run. You are on a mission. It is for the glory of God and he will be saving many through your obedience. Don’t get comfortable and think “ok now I am done.” Once you get to that place. Esther’s story was just getting started when she got crowned as a queen. So likewise, that important position you are in, that marriage and family God blessed you with and the God-given open doors that are before you are just the beginning.

Spoiler alert!

There WILL be oppositions! There will be a Haman trying to see your downfall but for every Haman there is A Zeresh. “Who is Zeresh?” You ask. Oh, Zeresh is the Wife of Haman. You know what is so funny about it, she was the one to suggest the building of the gallows for Mordecai to be hanged on (Esther 5:14) and she was the same woman to basically tell her husband “Honey, if it is the Jews (God’s People) you are going after, you are doomed.” (Esther 6:13) Mind you, That is his wife speaking. The helper. So it is safe to conclude that Zeresh helped her husband Haman set himself up. The bible does say Wives are helpers. (That is another topic for another day. The LORD has also put it in my heart to address matter about Marriages and family in this generation as that is something many are taking lightly in this day and age but God is still working in Kingdom Marriages and building families for his Kingdom). With that being said, Beloved, Identify the place you are in and how God wants to use you. So now Esther, as soon as Mordecai reminded her of her position and why she is there, she said, “

“Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!” -Esther 4:16

Did you catch that? She made up her mind and said “If I perish, I Perish” my God may this same spirit be in the sons and daughters of God! So as you move forward, rememeber that God is at work in your life and you are on a mission. It is no coincidence that you work at that place or learn at that school, Wherever it is that God has placed you, remember he has given you the authority and you have been given the access. So, use that Access to represent the one and only true God and May the LORD continue to strengthen you as you do that. I also want to remind those of you that are reading this that favor only requires obedience. Esther obeyed the voice of Mordecai and accepted the mission and went in fasting and prayer to be fully equipped for the mission ahead of her. Even when she was chosen as queen so many could have been more suitable for the king but God had a purpose. It was not really about Esther’s ability and Looks and all that attributes so many of us seem to be stressing ourselves with nowadays. Let go of that thought. Free yourself from that burden. It is NOT about you. (OUCH) I am not even sorry for saying that because it is true. Let me repeat that just incase you missed it the first time. It is NOT about you. Just let that pressure Go.

*inhale*

*exhale*

See. It is not THAT hard. You can do it.

I need you to understand that your whole existence is for the glory of God and all about representing the kingdom of God. So, don’t waste any time. Go. Obey the voice of God and Move. Choose Faith over Fear. Take on the lighter burden and do what is expected of you. Fast, Pray, Seek the face of God, strengthen your fellowship with other believers and Then watch God take over.

Grace, Love and Peace to you all in Jesus’ name.

Your Sister in Christ, Abenezer.
